Hi, there!
I’m Zhengyao Zhang, a visual designer, design researcher and life experiencer from Tianjin, China.

I really loved reading books that is one of the ways that helps me open my mind. It is reading that let me know my hidden skills that is integrating massive information into organized and clear expression conveying out. In addition to this, listening podcast, attending activities, communicating with people are the other ways for me to explore my world and experience my life. 

The major of my undergraduate study is public art in the pathway of exploring materials such as forging copper, ceramics art, mural painting and rock painting, which lay a solid foundation for me to thinking in an experimental way. These methods I’ve learned are used in the study and work afterwards. Studying in Graduate Diploma Creative Practice at Kingston School of Art gives me a great opportunity to put the experimental thinking way combine with design filed of study. 

I’m also interested in looking for “gaps” through doing research as well which process can help me understanding and figuring things out in a comprehensive and creative way. That is the main thing I’ve learned from my postgraduate study and really helpful in the process of my design project. Through the whole learning journey, I constantly enrich my ability on thinking and technical skills which definitely will be used skillfully in the future work gradually. I’m looking for a position as graphic designer starting from March, 2024.
